Two Updates That Make FastBank Easier to Work With

More finance teams are being asked to adoption AI to move faster. For teams accountable for accuracy, that raises three questions first: what the AI can see, what it can change, and who signs off.

You don't need to master every screen on FastBank to get real value from it. This cycle, we're bringing two FastBank updates to make it even easier.  You can now ask your AI assistant for the status of your transactions, and a new remittance advice matching feature turns a line-by-line invoice hunt into a single upload. The two work independently of each other, but they share the same goal: less manual work for you.

Ask Your AI Assistant About Your Bank Reconciliation  

It's 9:55 am and a finance meeting starts in 5 minutes with the CFO. Instead of logging into your FastBank account or navigating through SAP Business One, you simply type:

“How do my transactions look today?”

In seconds, you get the exact information you need, without opening the dashboard or digging through transaction records. Your preferred AI tool becomes the default operating environment for your finance data.  

We're excited to share that we're launching an MCP-compatible connector that works with Claude and other AI assistants that support MCP; you can query your data without ever leaving your AI assistant.

Note: For now, the connector gives you a read-only view of your incoming and outgoing transactions and the recommendations waiting for you. We're already working on new capabilities to expand what you can do from your AI assistant.

Automate Remittance Advice Matching in One Upload

It's the last business day of the month, and your marketplace payout just landed: one transfer covering dozens of orders that you sold over the past two weeks. The settlement report arrived as an Excel file, and until that payment is applied, your AR aging won't reflect what you've actually been paid.  

Matching incoming payments to open invoices used to mean working through them line by line, across every business partner, credit memo, and charge involved. It's the kind of task that can take up an afternoon without you noticing.  

Now you upload a remittance advice file (CSV or Excel) for an incoming transaction, and FastBank checks every line against your open invoices and builds the allocation for you. If a line can't be matched, like a reference that doesn’t exist in your records or a duplicate charge, FastBank flags it under a “needs attention” notification so you can see exactly what the issue is. From there, you can search for the right invoice or credit memo and add it yourself, or classify the difference as on account or as a bank charge. It even handles files that span more than one business partner, so you don't have to sort them out first. The idea is simple: FastBank does the matching for you and only asks for your input when something doesn't add up. The payment gets applied to the right invoices before the month closes, and your AR aging reflects what your customers have actually paid.
